Neuroscience Bulletin Indexed by SCI

Oct 27, 2011

On Oct. 18, news came from Thomson Reuters that beginning with the first 2009 issue, Neuroscience Bulletin is included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (available as the Web of Science), Neuroscience Citation Index, Biological Abstracts, and Biosis Previews databases. The impact factor will be reported in June, 2012.

This change is a most welcome further mark of recognition for Neuroscience Bulletinbut also of clear importance for its internationalization.

Neuroscience Bulletin (NSB, ISSN 1673-7067, CN 31-1975/R), continuing of Chinese Journal of Neuroscience, was changed to be full-English version published bimonthly in 2006. The Neuroscience Bulletin is the proceedings of the Chinese Society for Neuroscience, sponsored by Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Society for Neuroscience. The Neuroscience Bulletin is already indexed/abstracted in various citation resources, including MEDLINE/PubMed, Index Medicus (IM), Chemical Abstracts (CA), Excerpta Medica (EM), Chinese academic journal (Disk Edition), Chinese national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang database. Since 2008, the journal has cooperated with Springer, and the full-text is available at http://www.springerlink.com/content/1995-8218.

In October, 2011, the editorial board was reorganized by Editor-in-Chief Professor DUAN Shumin. The new editorial board consists of 91 members, among whom about half are distinguished neuroscientists from abroad, including six members of American National Academy Sciences and five Editors-in-Chief of the leading neuroscience journals. Besides, a native English-speaking neuroscientist, Prof. Iain Bruce, has been invited to serve as a full-time Executive Associate Editor. From the fifth 2011 issue, a specific cover will be designed in each issue.
